Enhanced Drilling announces Kjetil Lunde as new CEO

Oilfield services company Enhanced Drilling has been a pioneer in creating innovative cost-effective and benefit-enhancing solutions to some of the offshore industry's biggest challenges. The company has an enviable track record with 900+ wells surpassed for its Riserless Mud Recovery (RMR®), Cuttings Transportation System (CTS) and Controlled Mud Level MPD system (EC-Drill®).

Kjetil has been a key member of the senior management team since 2016 as VP of Finance and Business Support.

Prior to joining Enhanced Drilling, Kjetil held the position as VP Finance and Business Control for the Platform Drilling division with Odfjell Drilling.

Kjetil takes over the CEO role from Tom Hasler who has chosen to transition to the role of SVP Business Development, based in Aberdeen. In this role Tom will be responsible for the global growth of Enhanced Drilling and develop expansion opportunities within new geographies, product lines and technologies.  

Announcing the appointment of Kjetil, Tom said: “I am extremely excited and pleased to welcome Kjetil to the CEO role. Kjetil has a depth of knowledge of our business, a vision for future change, and the exceptional leadership skills required to deliver that change. He will be an excellent leader of Enhanced Drilling”.

The major shareholders of Enhanced Drilling are EV Private Equity, Shell Technology Ventures, Transocean and IKM Group. As Kjetil Lunde states “With the strongest possible shareholder group supporting our business, an extensive customer base and an exciting new technology roadmap we have an excellent position for future growth.
