Enhanced Drilling releases first annual ESG report

As a company, we are committed to actively improve our impact on planet and people. We aspire to not only reduce our own carbon footprint, but to continue bringing products and services to market that reduces the industry's footprint as a whole.  We are therefore proud to share our first published Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) report.

ESG report Enhanced Drilling

We are proud to announce the release of our very first 2021 global ESG report.

Zero-emissions technologies

Since 2019, we have been expanding our ESG KPIs, particularly in the direction of environmental and social responsibility, and implemented a framework to manage and improve our ESG performance. Charting our progress over the last year, Enhanced Drilling's ESG report highlights our undeniable commitment to innovative well construction and completion technologies that reduces both negative impact on life below water and CO2 emissions.

Key accomplishments

We all have a responsibility to protect the environment and our natural resources and for as long as oil and gas is required, the sector must operate as efficiently and responsible toward the environment as is possible. We take our part of this responsibility seriously.

Our technology has become widely recognized for its unique, more environmentally responsible, “closed system” solutions for seabed & marine protection, whilst improving safety and efficiency. To reduce rig energy, using drilling technology that contributes to reducing rig time is essential. To reduce the use of materials, it is possible to save Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by reducing the production of new materials. It is also essential to improve the quality and robustness in environmental decision making when planning drilling operations. To achieve this, using drilling technology that can protect and support life below water is important.

Although we are still expanding on our key performance indicators, the ESG 2021 report highlighted a number of key accomplishments such as:

GHG emissions:

  • The total CO2 emissions avoidance for scope 4 was in total found to be-28 785 tonnes.
  • The CO2 reduction by using our EC-Drill® technology alone was -23 825,25 tonnes, whilst for RMR® this was -4 959,90 tonnes.
