Two‑day Introduction for New Employees

Two Inspiring Days of Learning, Technology, and Connection at Enhanced Drilling

New employees at Enhanced Drilling

A visit to the Straume Workshop

In February, Enhanced Drilling welcomed new employees across departments to a two‑day Introduction at our main office at Straume. The program combined presentations, hands‑on learning, and immersive demonstrations, giving our new colleagues a strong start and a deeper understanding of who we are, what we do, and how we work together.

Day 1: Strategic Insights and Department Presentations

The first day opened with a welcome session and an introduction to Enhanced Drilling’s history, core values, and strategic direction. Leaders from across the organisation provided insights into:

  • Our technology portfolio and development roadmap

  • HSE culture and commitment to safe operations

  • Market focus, customer relationships, and regional priorities

  • People & Culture initiatives, development programs, and support structures

These presentations gave participants a broad understanding of the company’s direction and how each department contributes to our global operations.

Day 2: Workshop Tour and VR Experience

The second day offered a hands-on look at Enhanced Drilling’s operational side. New employees joined a guided tour of the workshop, where they explored equipment, tools, and processes up close — including how systems are prepared, connected, tested, and maintained for offshore use.

A highlight of the day was the interactive session led by Andris, our Visual Engineer Designer. Using advanced VR technology, he gave participants a realistic offshore experience in full scale.

With VR, participants could clearly see:

  • How our systems are positioned, connected, and operated offshore

  • How our equipment appears and behaves in real-life environments

  • The true scale and layout of components when in use

  • The full 360° context of our solutions — from topside installations all the way down to the seabed

This demonstration gave new colleagues a unique understanding of how our technologies function in practice — something that is difficult to capture through slides alone.

Building Connections Across the Company

Both days encouraged networking and knowledge sharing. New employees had the opportunity to engage with peers, leaders, and technical experts, helping to build strong cross‑department relationships from the start.

Strengthening Our Culture Through a Shared Start

The Introduction plays a vital role in ensuring that every new colleague feels welcomed, informed, and prepared. By combining strategic insights, operational knowledge, and innovative visual tools, Enhanced Drilling continues to foster a culture built on openness, learning, and collaboration.

Looking Ahead

More Introduction sessions will take place during this year as Enhanced Drilling continues to grow. We look forward to welcoming future groups and supporting them on their journey with us.

A warm welcome to all new employees — we’re excited to have you on board!
